Beard Papa’s is a globally renowned cream puff brand. The design of its offline kiosks is not only a spatial carrier for product sales but also a direct expression of brand culture and consumer experience. This cream puff kiosk has created a sales space that aligns with the brand’s tone through ingenious design, reasonable layout, and meticulous material selection.

Design style

The cartoon image of the brand’s core IP, “Beard Papa,” sets a tone of childlike fun and friendliness for the design. The prominent “Beard Papa’s” brand font at the top, with its round shape echoing the cartoon avatar. The circular brand logo on the front of the counter once again reinforces the image memory of the bearded Papa. The large cartoon outline decoration on the right column transforms the brand IP into spatial art elements. Additionally, the high-definition display of the cream puffs in the electronic menu further stimulates the purchasing desire.

The kiosk as a whole adopts a modern and simple style that is in line with the fashionable atmosphere of public spaces such as shopping malls. The bright yellow as the main color echoes the “sweetness” of the cream puffs and is as vibrant as the sun. Pure white creates a clean and refreshing sense of hygiene, which aligns with the core demand for cleanliness in food retail. The deep blue, through details such as brand fonts and fence decorations, presents a dynamic balance of the yellow. This combination of yellow, white, and blue is not only lively and eye-catching but also conveys a pleasant consumption atmosphere.

Layout planning

The spatial layout of the kiosks is divided into the core sales area and the auxiliary leisure area. The two are both independent and complementary, maximizing the satisfaction of consumer demands. The sales area adopts an arc-shaped counter design to form a semi-enclosed interactive space, facilitating customers to queue up for selection.

An electronic dynamic menu board is hung above the counter, clearly displaying the products. At the same time, devices can be seen inside the counter, conveying the concept of “freshly made and sold.” It allows consumers to directly experience the freshness of the products. The leisure area is enclosed by yellow and blue fences to create independent small spaces. Simple tables and chairs are set up inside the fence, complemented by spherical floor lamps and green plant flower boxes.

Material application

The main body of the kiosk is made of medium-density fiberboard. And its surface is coated with white high-gloss baking paint. The surface of the white area is as smooth as a mirror, easy to clean, and oil-proof. This also meets the hygiene requirements for food contact areas. Vertical stripe yellow grating plates are selected for the yellow area. The vertical pattern design enhances the texture and layering of the facade. Meanwhile, it is wear-resistant and scratch-resistant, maintaining its aesthetic appeal even after long-term use. The top arc-shaped yellow frame and the fence of the leisure area are all made of aluminum alloy pipes. Aluminum alloy is lightweight and highly strong, also capable of shaping smooth curves and presenting a modern feel. The perforated metal mesh part not only ensures the transparency of the space but also has the practicality of anti-collision.

Also, the detailed flower boxes in the leisure area are made of resin material that imitates the texture of ceramic tiles. The material is waterproof and easy to maintain. The artificial green plants and yellow flowers inside soften the cold and hard feeling of the metal and plates. The lampshade of the spherical floor lamp is made of frosted glass. And the warm light source also creates a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The bottom of the lighting system counter is embedded with LED light strips to add a sense of “suspension” and refinement. The spherical lights in the leisure area are warm light sources, which contrast with the cold-toned materials and enhance the sense of comfort.
