This is a 4 m * 2.5 m “Waffle x Rolling N’ Ice” waffle kiosk. It focuses on the sale of waffles and related ice products. The design is simple and practical, integrating the modern light food retail style. The main color of the kiosk—light wood grain color—not only gives the kiosk the warmth of wood but also conforms to the cold characteristics of ice products. The kiosk creates an efficient production and comfortable consumption atmosphere through clear brand display and reasonable operation flow lines.

Layout Planning

The kiosk countertop is distributed with waffle machines and ice production equipment, such as ice-frying-related utensils. And the equipment is placed according to the production process. The waffle production area is close to the power supply and raw material storage area, which is convenient for quick heating and spreading. The ice product operation area has an independent space with a sink to meet the cleaning needs in the production. The two are both divided and coordinated, and employees can efficiently switch production to increase the speed of serving.

The transparent glass enclosure clearly displays the production process to meet customers’ curiosity about food safety and production technology. The countertop is for placing goods so that customers can pick up the prepared waffles and ice products or employees can deliver them. The cabinet under the countertop is used to store waffle ingredients, ice ingredients, cleaning utensils, etc. The sink, power supply, and other facilities are embedded in the kiosk to make rational use of space and make the operation area neat and orderly. It is more convenient for employees to take raw materials and clean equipment to ensure a smooth sales process.

Material selection

The countertop of the entire kiosk is made of white artificial stone, which meets the requirements of the mall. This material is wear-resistant and easy to clean. It can be wiped clean to deal with the batter and water stains of waffle making and ice products. In addition, the stone material is not easy to deform or discolor, and it remains beautiful after long-term use. The cabinet body is made of imitation wood grain veneer material, which gives a natural and warm feeling visually. The transparent sneeze guard is made of tempered glass. It has excellent light transmittance, certain strength, and impact resistance and also is not easy to break.
